About The Position

Techniplas has long-term relationships with many of the world’s leading automotive and industrial OEMs. SUMMARY OF POSITION: Water Spider performs standardized material handling of small components that can be moved without a forklift. You will observe continuous operations of machines to ensure that product flows to the production lines. Recognize any inventory needs throughout the shift and before the next shift.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge.
  • Reading comprehension - understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents.
  • Language - read and interpret documents such as safety rules and operating instructions.
  • Mathematics - knowledge of basic math and their applications.
  • Writing - complete paperwork and documents at the workstation.
  • Manual dexterity - ability to quickly move your hand, your hand together with your arm, or both hands to grasp or assemble objects.
  • Ability to coordinate your limbs while sitting or standing.
  • Ability to frequently lift, push, pull or carry objects up to 25 pounds.
  • A high school education, diploma, or GED with an interest in manufacturing.
  • A performance-driven, team-oriented and client-focused attitude/demeanor.
  • Good written/verbal communication skills and an impressive work ethic.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • A strong mechanical/technical aptitude or background with a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions in English or Spanish
  • Must be able to work standing for an entire shift with frequent lifting up to 25 pounds.
  • The ability to work productively and cooperatively in a team environment.
  • Must be reliable and on time.
  • Attendance is crucial!
  • Must pass our mandatory drug screening.

Responsibilities

  • Complete the component pull list accurately; obtain a verification signature and submit it midway through the shift.
  • Pull all required components to support press operations based on current production demand.
  • Stock fabric drawers for designated machines to ensure uninterrupted workflow.
  • Refill and maintain inventory for line-side dryers.
  • Keep the workstation and supermarket area clean, organized, and compliant with 5S standards.
  • Follow the First-In, First-Out (FIFO) system for material handling.
  • Remove empty containers from press areas and relocate them to the designated FIFO zone.
  • Ensure all inventory is properly scanned into the appropriate work centers.
  • Support production by supplying empty containers to the lines as needed.
  • Must be able to perform repetitive tasks.
