The Water Skills Coach supports aquatic training activities associated with a customer at Camp Pendleton, California. This position assists in delivering water confidence, aquatic conditioning, and maritime skill development training for candidates transitioning from infantry units into the training continuum prior to attending formal combat diver training. Water Skills Coaches assist in conducting pool-based and open-water training events designed to build swimming proficiency, fin swimming endurance, underwater confidence, and aquatic survivability skills necessary for success in reconnaissance training environments. This role supports government instructors and the Lead Water Skills Coach during aquatic training evolutions and ensures water-based activities are conducted in accordance with established safety standards, Programs of Instruction (POIs), and operational risk management procedures. Water Skills Coaches operate in physically demanding environments and must maintain the professional judgment, physical capability, and situational awareness necessary to ensure the safe execution of aquatic training events.
