About The Position

We are seeking a dependable and hands-on Water & Sewer Utility Technician to support the installation, maintenance, and repair of water distribution and wastewater collection systems. This role involves fieldwork, equipment operation, and emergency response to ensure reliable utility services.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Construction or utility field experience
• Valid driver’s license
• FDEP Class 3 Distribution Operator License (or ability to obtain within 1 year)

Nice To Haves

• FDEP Class 2 Distribution Operator License
• FWPCOA Class C Collections License
• Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
• Experience operating heavy equipment (backhoes, dump trucks, etc.)

Responsibilities

• Perform installation, maintenance, and repair of water and sewer lines
• Assist with preventative maintenance and cleaning of utility systems
• Repair leaks, breaks, and defective sewer lines
• Operate equipment for trenching, excavation, and backfilling
• Restore work sites, including asphalt, concrete, and landscaping
• Clean and maintain sewer lines and lift stations
• Install and service water meters and related components
• Complete work orders and respond to field service requests
• Participate in rotating on-call schedule (including nights, weekends, holidays)
