NV5 is seeking a Water Resources Senior Project Manager in Cary, NC , to lead engineering design, plan preparation, and project management within the Water Resources Group. We are seeking a Civil Engineer with 12+ years of experience. The primary roles and responsibilities of this position include: Design and complete assigned projects on time, within budget and of high quality. Perform design of hydraulic projects on a daily basis Ability to work alone and in small groups Assist in field surveys for hydraulic projects Lead and mentor junior Water Resources staff. Responsible for QA/QC process Compile scope and fee for projects. Monitor project finances bi-weekly. Ability to manage several projects simultaneously Maintain and manage excellent communication with clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering
  • North Carolina PE or the ability to obtain within one year
  • Minimum of 10 years of hydraulic engineering experience
  • Proficient in FEMA Flood Studies
  • Proficient with MicroStation and GEOPAK Drainage / ORD
  • Experience with NCDOT & Municipal drainage and erosion control practices and design
  • Familiarity with the design of storm water BMP’s
  • Must be willing to travel on occasion
