About The Position

Gannett Fleming TranSystems is seeking a Water Resources Engineer to join our collaborative team in Fort Worth, TX. In this hybrid role, you'll support critical infrastructure projects focused on stormwater management facilities, culverts and outfalls, open channels, and more. You'll also dive into hydrologic and hydraulic modeling, floodplain studies, and inundation mapping—work that helps protect the community and preserve the environment. Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
  • EIT certification and in process of obtaining PE license
  • 3+ years of applicable experience
  • Proficiency with HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS
  • Proficiency with MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook)
  • Proficiency with design software and GIS

Responsibilities

  • Determine client requirements and develops designs and contract documents.
  • Works with client and other disciplines to prepare appropriate designs, as dictated by the scope of work.
  • Support hydrologic and hydraulic modeling by preparing input data, reviewing results, and assisting in the evaluation of watershed drainage studies, master plans, and land development projects.
  • Ensure that production of analysis, drawings and specifications meets the scope, schedule, cost and quality requirements and satisfies all federal, state, and local requirements.
  • Provide direction to and supervision for junior level engineers as needed.
  • Communicate independently with clients.
  • Able to work in multi-disciplinary teams and lead tasks and simple project teams.
