The Town of Frederick is seeking a strategic, technically strong, and forward-thinking Water Resources Manager to help lead one of the Town’s most critical service areas. This is a high-impact role responsible for advancing Frederick’s short and long-term water resource strategy, including water supply, conservation, capital planning, growth coordination, and regional partnerships. Reporting to the Public Works & Engineering Director, the Water Resources Manager will lead the Town’s Water Resources Division and play a central role in protecting, planning, and positioning Frederick’s water future. This position oversees the Town’s water rights portfolio, water supply accounting, compliance with decrees and contracts, water resource planning, development review, and water-related capital initiatives. The role also serves as a key liaison with legal counsel, engineering consultants, regional partners, developers, and the public. We are looking for someone who brings a strong understanding of Colorado water resources and can operate effectively at both the strategic and operational level. The ideal candidate will have the judgment, technical depth, and communication skills to guide complex water issues in a fast-growing community.
