Our full-time exempt position comes with a competitive pay range that can align with your experience and education, along with additional overtime pay for hours worked over 40 in a week. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or environmental engineering.
  • Ability to obtain a North Dakota PE designation within 12 months.
  • Minimum of five years of successful design and consulting experience in the water resources field.
  • Technical skills in hydrologic and hydraulic modeling tools such as HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, and XPSWMM.
  • Knowledge of hydrologic analysis, open channel and pipe flow, and water quality issues for lakes and streams.
  • Proficiency in GIS and CADD-based civil design software.
  • Outstanding listening and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Design stormwater detention facilities, storm drains, and flood control structures.
  • Develop watershed master plans and flood mitigation studies.
  • Analyze drainage systems to manage erosion and stabilize riverbanks.
  • Interface with entities like FEMA and USACE for compliance.
  • Perform pre-design services and create design specifications.
  • Manage project schedules and budgets.
