About The Position

AECOM is actively seeking a highly motivated Water Resource Engineer/Task Leader to join our Transportation Business Line preferably based out of our Conshohocken or Philadelphia, PA office with other possible locations of Mechanicsburg PA or Newark DE. In this position, you will work directly with our staff and clients to deliver waterway permitting, erosion and sediment pollution control plans, stormwater management design, hydrologic and hydraulic studies and highway drainage design. Experience with PennDOT, as well as the PA Turnpike, PADEP, DelDOT and other Greater Pennsylvania agencies is highly desired. The ideal candidate will perform the following duties, but will not be limited to: Lead, prepare or review detailed design deliverables such as calculations, reports, models, permit applications, construction drawings and specifications. Advise project teams on technical issues, perform deliverable quality reviews, assist with annual performance evaluations, support the professional development of junior engineers, assist with reporting project status and responsible to deliver elements of design within the project schedule and budget. Coordinate interdisciplinary design elements with other task leaders and/or group managers. Utilize modeling software applications for efficient design and coordination. Enhance client relationships as it pertains to our water resource capabilities. May assist with staffing and business development. Mentor engineers and designers within the group, both locally and throughout the Greater PA area.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil and/or Environmental Engineering plus six (6) years of relevant water resource engineering experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Experience with water resources design software (Microstation In-Roads, Microstation Open-Roads, StormCAD, HydroCAD, Pondpack, HEC-RAS).

Nice To Haves

  • 8 years of relevant water resource engineering experience.
  • Experience with PennDOT, as well as the PA Turnpike, PADEP, DelDOT and other agencies is highly desired.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities
