In the role of Water Resources Design Coordinator, we'll count on you to: Focus on projects including flood risk reduction, levees, dam and spillway rehabilitation, channel restoration/rehabilitation, wetland restoration, stormwater detention and conveyance, and riverine structures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent field
  • Interest or experience analyzing and designing water focused systems
  • Experience with production, simulation, and automation such as BIM systems, numerical modeling platforms, and other production tools
  • Microsoft Office experience
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must

Nice To Haves

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certificate
  • Candidates without their EIT will be placed into a Design Coordinator job code and will be expected to obtain their EIT for career progression
  • Master’s degree in civil engineering or other related field.
  • Professional experience or educational specialization in water resources or civil engineering related fields.
  • Familiarity with CAD software including AutoCAD Civil3D and/or Bentley ORD.
  • Familiarity with H&H design software including HEC-HMS/RAS, SWMM, or other channel/conduit hydraulic analysis software.
  • Preference will be given to local candidates

Responsibilities

  • Create planning level, preliminary, and detailed designs of water resource focused systems under the guidance of a Project Engineer or person in responsible charge
  • Aid in the development of construction documents, including site and feature layout using CAD-based software and hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to support design.
  • Coordinate between various disciplines in the development of water resources project construction documents.
  • Perform other duties as needed
