STV is currently seeking a Water Resources/Drainage Engineer for our Transportation & Infrastructure division in our Jacksonville, FL office. This position provides an opportunity to work on a variety of public projects with a focus on transportation design.

  • Preparing Stormwater Management designs, calculations, plans, and reports for Transportation Infrastructure.
  • Coordinating transportation and roadway drainage with various Roadway/Structures Design Groups.
  • Environmental Permitting through various state and federal entities.
  • Opportunities to play a role in project development with both existing and new clients.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • Minimum of 8 years of drainage engineering experience.
  • Florida Professional Engineer (PE) License.
  • Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) project experience.
  • Knowledge of roadway drainage systems, highway culverts, storm water management facilities, and floodplain modeling.
  • Experience with storm water and CAD software such as Bentley ORD, ICPR/StormWise, HEC-RAS, HY-8, and ASAD.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to build strong relationships.
  • Excellent time management skills, a strong work ethic, and a desire to learn.
  • Experience with developing FDOT Bridge Hydraulic Reports is preferred but not required.
