About The Position

As a Water Resources Engineer at OHM Advisors, you will play a crucial role in supporting a variety of water resources projects across the Midwest. This position involves working within the Environmental and Water Resources Group (EWRG), which consists of a diverse team dedicated to advancing community-focused solutions through innovative engineering practices. The role emphasizes collaboration, analytical skills, and the use of advanced technology in water resource management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil or Environmental Engineering, or related field required.
  • At least four years of water resources related experience.
  • Experience with water, stormwater, and wastewater infrastructure analysis, planning, and design.

Nice To Haves

  • State of Michigan Professional Engineer license preferred.
  • Experience working with GIS, AutoCAD, Revit, Matlab, hydrologic and hydraulic design programs, such as PC/EPA-SWMM, EPA-Net, Infowater, HEC-HMS or HEC-RAS.

Responsibilities

  • Perform various water resources-related calculations and analyses using a variety of software tools.
  • Embrace advanced technology approaches that utilize cloud-based data management and the latest water modeling software.
  • Assist in gathering and evaluating raw data and help organize information for use in reports, maps, presentations, and other documents.
  • Understand funding programs at the state and federal level.
  • Act as a task manager on studies, reports, design and/or construction of water distribution systems, sewage collection, storage facilities, control vaults, pumping stations, booster stations, water and wastewater treatment, stormwater systems, and green infrastructure.
  • Effectively communicate project goals, alternatives, recommendations, and outcomes to project team, clients, and the public.
