JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for daily water quality operations to include: water quality parameter testing/verification, lift station/storm water station troubleshooting and sampling, chemical management, mechanical/electrical preventative and corrective maintenance. Install, maintain, test, troubleshoot and repair electrical and mechanical equipment to include: filtration and UV sterilization systems, centrifugal pumps/motors, pool/venue rehab and repairs, plumbing repairs and storm water infrastructure. Respond to and assists in recovery of attractions and water features while the attraction is operational. MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Inspection and Operations - evaluates water conditions, chemical and/or waste for compliance by conducting sampling, performing inspection of equipment, tanks, and processes, evaluates data related to water and/or waste parameters. Manage and coordinate diverse technical support activities conducted through contractors. Provide evaluative field support for the company’s EHS requirements under regulatory and/or corporate policy requirements. Equipment Maintenance – gain proficiency in operating instruments and equipment as assigned to include chemical feeders, pumps, motors, UV systems, VFD’s, electrical interfaces/cabinets and all supporting equipment, plumbing repairs, storm water infrastructure, lift station monitoring and repairs for storm/sanitary, tile and pool finish repair, confined space entries while performing work in space, direct read instruments, alarm systems, small combustion engines etc. Maintain proper instrument calibration, operation and establish/maintain working relationships with equipment vendors for water and waste management equipment. Administrative Duties – maintain field-generated and office records, perform data entry, prepare logbooks, procedures, as-built drawings, O&M’s, safety training, work order utilization, etc. Complete PQS qualification of assigned venues. Trains new technicians to do venue-specific PM work orders, recover procedures and processes. Create and complete Maximo work orders and completion reports. Emergency Response and Incident Prevention– inspect for release controls to include secondary containments, spill equipment, response supplies, erosion control, storm conveyance systems, emergency pumps, overfill protections. Respond to environmental incidents and take immediate action to control and/or stop further release related to water, chemicals and/or waste and perform proper cleaning/remediation when necessary. Activate UO incident response as necessary and in accordance with EHS policy and regulation. Performs modifications of electrical, mechanical and pool/venue systems per UO Engineering or OEM specifications and direction. Chemical/Waste Management – ensure proper labeling, handling, application, inspection, storage and disposal of water, aquatic pest control and regulated waste. Ensures waste is prepared for proper transport as required. Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities. Performs other duties as assigned.
