The work environment is approximately 70% in office and 30% field work. Employees are required to use their personal vehicle for field work and emergency response. The City offers mileage reimbursement for use of personal vehicle when performing job duties. Quality Control is primarily focused on sanitary sewer lines and proper rule enforcement/management regarding them as well as related assets. As such, employees are occasionally exposed to sanitary sewage. The position requires the physical ability to open manhole lids, walk, climb stairs and ladders. The Wastewater Management Division within DOTI has an opening for a Water Quality Investigator I. You will be part of our team engaged in the enforcement of Denver Revised Municipal Code and DOTI Rules & Regulations as it pertains to sanitary and storm sewers. We are also responsible for a variety of different databases which maintain and manage a variety of different sewer assets throughout the City and County of Denver. As part of our team you will also be managing numerous commercial sewer accounts, which will include onsite inspections as well as calculations of sewer usage and water consumption.
