THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: The ideal candidate is a sophomore/junior undergraduate in civil or environmental engineering, who has the intention of applying to a graduate program. Knowledge and experience with laboratory procedures, mechanical equipment, tools/parts, and piloting is desirable. This position will provide support of water quality and treatment pilot projects. GENERAL PURPOSE: The position will provide support for water quality and treatment projects. Also, experience working in a laboratory setting or engineering firm is preferable. Assisting in laboratory experiments, running, and maintaining analytical instrumentation, microbiological techniques, wet chemistry, data analysis, literature searches, laboratory organization, materials inventory and safety documentation, pilot testing, pilot maintenance, presentation and report preparation.
