About The Position
Position is responsible for skilled work in the operation of water production and treatment facilities. Incumbent works 12-hour rotating shift schedule. Incumbent pulls samples at various treatment stages, conducts tests on samples, and records results; requires ability to perform basic mathematical/geometric calculations. Incumbent also inspects and operates chemical feeders, agitators, pumps, and related equipment. Work involves the lifting of 50-pound sacks of chemicals on a daily basis.
Requirements
- Maintain a functional telephone and must be capable of responding to the site within one hour of being notified.
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- ability to perform basic mathematical/geometric calculations

- Experience in water plant operations, as well as knowledge of procedures, policies, terminology, and equipment used in the production and treatment of water
