About The Position
The Water Plant Operator I-IV at Lee Creek is responsible for producing safe drinking water for the City of Fort Smith. This role involves manual and skilled work in the maintenance of the water treatment plant, ensuring compliance with Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and Arkansas Department of Health standards. The operator will work under the supervision of the Water Plant Supervisor and the direction of the Water Plant Chief Operator, with a focus on maintaining plant operations and performing necessary analyses to ensure water quality.
