About The Position

Position Summary: The Water Park Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the water park, ensuring the park provides a safe, enjoyable, and high-quality experience for guests. This role involves managing staff, maintaining safety standards, budgeting, marketing, customer service, and working to improve park performance and guest satisfaction. Key Responsibilities: Operational Management: Oversee all aspects of park operations, including water attractions, guest services, safety protocols, and staff management. Develop and implement daily operations schedules, ensuring adequate coverage of all areas of the park. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of park operations, making adjustments as needed to ensure smooth operations. Ensure that all park facilities and attractions are properly maintained and cleaned. Staff Management and Training: Supervise and manage a team of supervisors, attendants, and other staff. Conduct staff recruitment, hiring, and performance evaluations to build and maintain a high-performing team. Provide training and development programs to ensure staff are knowledgeable about safety procedures, customer service, and operational standards. Schedule staff and ensure proper staffing levels during peak hours and special events. Safety and Compliance: Ensure compliance with safety regulations, including local, state, and federal requirements. Conduct regular safety audits and inspections of park facilities, rides, and equipment to maintain high safety standards. Oversee emergency procedures, staff training in emergency response, and preparedness for accidents or incidents. Ensure staff maintain certification and are fully trained in CPR, first aid, and water safety protocols. Develop strategies to increase park attendance, boost revenue, and maintain strong seasonal operations. Monitor sales performance, ticketing, and revenue metrics, and report on financial performance to upper management. Manage park budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial efficiency in operations. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field (preferred).
  • Relevant certifications in water safety, lifeguarding, or emergency response may be required.
  • Previous experience in a management or supervisory role within a water park, recreation, or hospitality setting.
  • Strong background in staff management, customer service, and operations.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple departments and staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests, staff, and upper management.
  • In-depth knowledge of water park operations, safety regulations, and guest service standards.
  • Financial management skills, including budget preparation, expense tracking, and financial reporting.
  • Problem-solving skills to address guest issues, staff concerns, and operational challenges.
  • Certification in CPR, First Aid, and Lifeguarding.
  • Ability to stand, walk, and work outdoors for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25-50 pounds and assist with physical tasks when necessary.
