About the position
The Water Operator position at Aerotek involves working in the oil and gas industry, primarily stationed at pump stations and fracking sites. The role requires monitoring equipment, managing materials, and ensuring safety on construction sites. Candidates should be prepared for both day and night shifts, with a focus on teamwork and safety in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Staffed on fracs and stationed at pump stations.
- Monitor tanks and set up/take down equipment.
- Load, unload, and identify materials, machinery, and tools, and distribute them according to project plans and specifications.
- Store and stack materials.
- Tend to pumps and generators.
- Clean and prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards.
- Operate hand and power tools.
Requirements
- Minimum of 6 months of experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Knowledge of construction machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on safety.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment.
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Nice-to-haves
- Experience in the energy or construction industry is a plus.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to work 75+ hours per week, including additional hours when needed.
