About The Position

As a Water Leak Detection Technician at American Leak Detection, you will play a crucial role in providing leak detection and line locating services to our clients. This position is part of a rapidly growing national company that has been in business for over 44 years. We are looking for a mechanically oriented and highly motivated individual who is eager to perform electronic leak detections and plumbing-related repairs. The job requires you to work outdoors, utilizing your interest in mechanics and electronics while offering great earning potential and opportunities for advancement within the company. Your primary responsibilities will include traveling to various commercial and residential locations to conduct leak detections and perform necessary repair work. You will be responsible for detecting leaks in underground piping systems, both inside and outside buildings, as well as in sewers, swimming pools, and spas. The role involves using various forms of electronic leak detection equipment, and you will receive advanced training that includes scuba certification and mastering technologies such as underground line tracking, video, ultrasonic, and infrared detection. To succeed in this position, you must possess a current plumbing license, a valid driver's license, and a good DMV report. You should be capable of lifting or moving up to 100 pounds and have a mechanical or electronics background, which is a plus. Experience with power tools, the ability to work independently, and good writing and verbal communication skills are essential. A neat and professional appearance is expected, and you must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening. Familiarity with leak detection or plumbing, as well as experience in pool and slab work, is helpful but not mandatory. Building and remodeling experience will also be beneficial for our expanding insurance inspection services.
