The position involves setting up and operating Laser/Water Jet machines to fabricate parts. It is classified as a safety-sensitive position, which entails specific responsibilities and adherence to safety protocols.
Programs water jet and lasers.
Plan sequence of operations and review blueprints to ensure precision.
Operate Forklift to move materials, load and unload materials with suction cups and cranes.
Deburr parts as necessary.
Completes manufacturing documentation in a timely manner.
Follows all safety guidelines as noted in Safety Manual.
Performs other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or 1 year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge of difference on thicknesses and types of stainless materials.
Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
Knowledge of the use of cutting tools.
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
Ability to quickly and repeatedly adjust the controls of a machine or a vehicle to exact positions.
Ability to read cut sheets, blueprints, and tape measures.
