About The Position

As a Fire and Water Restoration Technician, you play a crucial role in the Restoration sector by responding to emergencies caused by fire, water, or other disasters. Your work directly impacts the company’s success by restoring properties to their pre-loss condition. This role requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including clients, Plumber Technician, insurance companies, and internal teams, to achieve restoration goals efficiently. Success in this position is measured by timely response, quality of restoration work, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Technical Skills: Proficiency in water and fire restoration techniques, knowledge of moisture meters, dehumidifiers, air mover, and experience with restoration software.
• Educational Requirements: High school diploma or GED required, with certifications in water and fire restoration preferred.
• Experience Level: 2+ years of experience in fire and water restoration, familiarity with insurance claims processes, and previous work in construction or related fields.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication skills, ability to work under pressure, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and customer-centric mindset.
• Industry Knowledge: Understanding of OSHA regulations, IICRC standards, and knowledge of building materials and structures.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in large-scale disaster restoration projects.
• Holding IICRC certifications in water damage restoration and fire and smoke restoration. (A plus.)
• Familiarity with emerging technologies like thermal imaging and moisture mapping.
• Demonstrated experience in process optimization and quality control.
• Participation in industry workshops, training sessions, or seminars.
• Additional foreign language proficiency for diverse client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Project Planning and Execution: You will be responsible for planning, scheduling, and executing restoration projects, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets to meet client expectations.
• Problem-Solving and Decision-Making: Your role involves identifying restoration challenges, analyzing options, and making critical decisions to mitigate damages effectively.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: You will collaborate with internal departments, subcontractors, and clients to coordinate restoration efforts and ensure seamless project execution.
• Leadership and Mentorship: If in a senior role, you may provide guidance to junior technicians, lead teams, and ensure a positive work environment conducive to success.
• Process Improvement and Innovation: Constantly seeking ways to improve restoration processes, incorporate new technologies, and enhance overall efficiency in service delivery.
• Technical or Customer-Facing Responsibilities: You will handle technical tasks such as water extraction, drying, soot removal, and interact with clients to address their restoration needs and concerns.
