About The Position

SEH is currently searching for a Water Engineer Project Manager to join our talented Water/Wastewater team! This is a remote opportunity open to candidates residing in Minnesota or Wisconsin. This opportunity is also open to candidates wanting to work Hybrid residing in the following areas: St Paul, MN, Duluth, MN, Minnetonka, MN, Mankato, MN, Rochester, MN, Brainerd, MN, or Hudson, WI. Join a fast-paced collaborative and growing team! You’ll have the opportunity to work on a wide variety of drinking water design and construction projects including water treatment plants, water supply (wells and intakes), pump stations, and water storage tanks. You’ll also have the ability to support projects outside of the immediate region and collaborate with other teams throughout SEH!

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) in Minnesota or the ability to achieve MN licensure within 6 months.
  • Previous experience specializing in municipal water planning, design, and construction, including project management, client services management and new business pursuits.
  • Must be able to provide own means of reliable transportation and ability to travel as needed for team meetings, client consultations, business development excursions, on-site inspections/visits, etc. throughout the state.
  • Occasional overnight travel will be required.
  • Knowledge and proficiency with software including Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • 5 + years of previous experience in municipal water.
  • Master's Degree in Civil, Chemical or Environmental Engineering or related field.
  • Previous experience with public water systems design.
  • Current affiliation and/or membership with local, state, or national water societies and associations.
  • Knowledgeable of MN regional water issues and familiarity with the municipal government client base.
  • Previous experience effectively communicating with clients, vendors, sub-consultants, and regulatory agencies.
  • Exposure to project scoping, budgeting, and coordinating sub-consultants.
  • Experience with Bluebeam, Procore, Newforma or other construction project information management platform.

Responsibilities

  • Work with project teams to support the planning, design, and construction projects specializing in water treatment, supply, storage, and distribution projects.
  • Work closely with current clients and be heavily involved in the pursuit of new business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with multi-discipline teams to deliver innovative project solutions.
  • Interact with other stakeholders before, during and after project completion.
