About The Position

We are currently seeking an engineering intern to join our Water Business Line in our Phoenix, AZ. Requirements

  • Pursuing a BS in Chemical, Civil, Environmental, or Water Resources Engineering, or another closely related academic discipline.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship or coursework in water/wastewater, water resources, or related sectors.
  • EIT certification.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluating, planning, and designing projects for water, wastewater, and stormwater treatment and conveyance.
  • Assessing, developing, and supporting the management of sustainability and resilience projects.
  • Conducting vulnerability and mitigation assessments.
  • Planning and designing utilities, municipalities, and cities.
  • Performing essential fieldwork activities such as conducting field site visits, collecting samples, and performing water quality analyses.
  • Evaluating technologies and gathering plant operations information.
  • Troubleshooting processes and optimizing operations.
  • Supporting asset management projects by conducting data analytics, operational and organizational assessments, condition assessments, and overall performance evaluations of water, wastewater, and stormwater facilities.
  • Preparing reports, presentations, and other audio-visual materials, and participating in client meetings.
  • Ensuring project compliance with all Arcadis practices and quality, health and safety standards.
  • Facilitating coordination for timely completion and submission of projects on time and budget.
  • Working independently and as part of a team, with flexibility to accommodate collaboration with team members across the U.S. and internationally.
  • Learning and using digital tools to enhance customer experience, team and client collaboration, and project delivery.
