About The Position

The City of Nicholasville is accepting applications for the position of Water Distribution, Wastewater Collections Operator Trainee, grade 51. The starting rate for this position falls within the hourly rate of $17.95 to $20.20. Hiring rate determined during final step of interview process. Duties include, not limited to, performing semiskilled and manual labor work in the construction, maintenance and cleanliness of the water distributions and wastewater collection systems.

Requirements

• Applicants must have a high school degree or equivalent (GED).
• Must be able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Must possess CDL issued by the Commonwealth of Ky or must obtain CDL within one year after appointment to the position.
• Must obtain appropriate Water Distribution/Wastewater Collections certification within 18 months after meeting experience requirements.
• Must be able to respond to calls in emergency situations at all hours
• must participate in the City's drug and alcohol testing program.
