About The Position
The Sewer, Water and Drain position involves ensuring compliance with drinking water regulations and assisting in the development of statistical databases. The role includes following protocols for sample collection, maintaining records, and reporting findings to the Senior Water Distribution Supervisor or Meter Foreman. The individual will also assume the role of the department's General Operator in the absence of the Senior Water Distribution Supervisor. Responsibilities include supervising and assisting the Drinking Water Sampling Staff to meet state and federal regulations, performing and assigning work related to water meter replacements, backflow preventer testing, and conducting Cross Connection Inspections and Surveys. The position requires participation in an on-call rotation as a Foreman and entails reading meters and performing other duties as assigned.
