We are currently looking for a: Water Country-Maintenance Technician Roles & Responsibilities: This year-round position contributes to preparing the park for the operating season, maintaining the park during operation, and winterizing all aspects of the facility for the off season. Performs duties requiring knowledge of all phases of mechanical work including pneumatics, hydraulics, repair, overhaul and preventive maintenance. Pay based on experience: Earn up to $30 per hour.

Requirements

  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Requires positive interaction with other Team Members and Guests.
  • This position requires standing, walking, crouching, bending, stooping, twisting, kneeling, lifting, and pushing.
  • Must be able to read, write, and understand the English language.
  • Must be able to read and understand printed instructions for chemical use.
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and long hours.
  • Ability to frequently lift, carry or move items weighing up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying climates including exposure to direct sunlight.
  • Ability to multi-task and respond to a dynamic work environment with changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Pool Operator preferred but not required.
  • Familiarity and experience with fiberglass preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains mechanical aspects of park attractions to ensure that they operate safely and efficiently.
  • Reads and understands inspection procedures.
  • Diagnoses mechanical problems and performs repairs.
  • Responds to calls for maintenance checks and repairs.
  • Inspects all attractions and completes daily checklists.
  • Performs carpentry and concrete repair work as needed.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot ride equipment and controls.
  • Quickly and accurately evaluate and diagnose various electrical and control problems on equipment.
  • Must be able to read and understand electrical equipment and systems from engineered drawings, plans and verbal direction.
  • Familiarity with all applicable electrical codes.
  • Repair and maintenance of a variety of plumbing systems related to pools and attractions, food buildings, restrooms and domestic water systems.
  • Perform repair and maintenance on a variety of pumps and related piping systems.
  • Safe operation of chemical systems related to all pools and attractions.
  • Safely operate and maintain a variety of gas powered equipment.
  • Safely operate a Bobcat, loader-backhoe and man lift.
  • Willingness to complete tasks as designated and requested by management and uphold established procedures for maintaining the facility.
