AECOM's Water Business Line is seeking a Water and Wastewater Project Manager with a passion for water, wastewater conveyance, treatment plant evaluation, design, and construction. The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate an established career serving as a client-facing project manager on regional and municipal water and wastewater treatment projects. This position offers a unique opportunity to immediately contribute to an established and successful water practice in the Greater Hartford, Connecticut area and New England working on a diverse range of technically challenging water projects.

  • Lead multi-discipline and complex water and wastewater design projects from the planning through permitting and construction phases.
  • Manage a portfolio of clients with multiple projects, to approved scope, budget, and schedule.
  • Perform engineering technical reviews and implement AECOM quality standards.
  • Point of contact internally and externally for projects and clients in New England.
  • Develop and mentor mid-level and junior staff for career development.
  • Support business development activities, including technical and cost pricing efforts for proposals.
  • Opportunity for participation in water and wastewater organizations through presentations at conferences and volunteering.
  • BS in Civil or Environmental Engineering with 6+ years of related experience in water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping and collection systems.
  • Registered Professional Engineer.
  • Valid U.S. Driver's License and as a condition of employment, must pass AECOM's Motor Vehicle Records Review.
  • 10+ years of related experience in water/wastewater consulting and engineering management.
  • Registered Professional Engineer in CT or ability to obtain within 6 months.
  • Previous experience leading scope, technical approach and pricing efforts for leading business development activities.
  • Previous water and/or wastewater treatment, pumping stations, collection systems and client relations experience.
  • Previous experience leading client and public presentations.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and motivate staff and project team.
  • Previous experience leading design build/alternate delivery projects.
