About The Position

We are seeking an experienced Lab Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have intermediate experience in laboratory work and be able to perform a variety of technical and support functions in a laboratory setting, and ensure compliance with State and Federal guidelines and requirements.

Requirements

• Certified MDE (Maryland Department of the Environment) class T-2 or T-3 and W-5A license
• High school diploma or equivalent and technical training in biology, environmental science, chemistry, or closely related field
• 2 years of environmental training, or 5 years of experience in water, wastewater
• Strong understanding of laboratory procedures and techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
• Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
• Proficiency with laboratory equipment and computer software
• Knowledge of safety and quality standards in a laboratory setting

Responsibilities

• Conducting various laboratory tests and experiments
• Preparing and analyzing samples
• Maintaining and calibrating laboratory equipment
• Recording and interpreting data
• Provide daily briefs to upper management
• Ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
• Collaborating with other team members to achieve project goals
• Keeping accurate records of all work performed
• Maintains adequate supplies for all department labs
