About The Position
Under general supervision, will teach aerobic classes to adult participants. APPLICANTS: This position posting will establish a hiring roster that will be used to fill seasonal vacancies for from May through September 2026. Applicants, please note when you are available for employment.
Requirements
- Must be a graduate of a standard senior high school or equivalent.
- Successful applicants must possess good public relations skills; knowledge of public facilities, aerobic programs, and events; and knowledge of physical fitness and wellbeing practices.
- Experience in teaching aerobic training and physical fitness.
- Applicants must be very skilled and fit to teach water aerobics classes and very knowledgeable in aerobic techniques and mechanics.
- Ability to establish and maintain an effective working relationship with the general public and fellow employees.
- Must possess a CPR certificate.
Nice To Haves
- Current National Recognized Certification for Fitness Instructors preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Teaching classes at appointed times
- Preparing classes with provided equipment
- Providing upwards communication with Recreation Superintendent & Aquatics Coordinator
- Teaching various routines
- Maintaining a safe environment for all participants
