About The Position

Ben Bridge Jeweler is seeking a qualified Watchmaker Level I-III to join their UTC store team in San Diego, CA. The role involves performing technical repairs and services on various watch brands, ensuring that all work meets or exceeds brand quality standards. The watchmaker will be responsible for diagnostics, servicing mechanical and quartz timepieces, and maintaining effective communication regarding job status updates.

Requirements

• Successfully completed a Watchmaking program/school (2 year minimum) or relevant professional experience (3-5 year minimum).
• Proficient with hairspring and escapement adjustment.
• Able to perform diagnostics and servicing on both mechanical and quartz timepieces.
• Experience with automatic chronographs and prestige brand calibers.
• Able to service standard mechanical ETA calibers.
• Good verbal and written communication skills.
• Detail-oriented and able to work in a team environment with a positive attitude.

Nice To Haves

• Watchmaker with SAWTA, WOSTEP, or CW21 or similar certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform technical repair and service on multiple watch brands according to established guidelines.
• Conduct water resistance testing and replace all case gaskets.
• Break down case bodies and reassemble them as needed.
• Ensure repair work meets or exceeds brand set quality standards.
• Meet assigned service turnaround times.
• Communicate job status updates to the head watchmaker.
