Responsibilities

  • Serve as a member of the interdisciplinary patient care team.
  • Collaborate with unit leadership in coordinating the day-to-day activities of the patient care unit.
  • Manage the process of patient records and ongoing communication with nursing staff, physicians, and interdepartmental personnel.
  • Act as a resource for physicians and other members of the health care team for the electronic medical record.
  • Play an integral role in the patient care experience, impacting the perception of care.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
  • Hold additional responsibilities related to telemetry monitoring where appropriate.
  • Report to the Clinical Nurse Manager.

Requirements

  • Successful completion of KH Health Unit Coordinator training upon hire into role.

Nice-to-haves

  • 6 months experience in customer service, experience in a healthcare setting preferred
  • Certification in CPR/BLS
