About The Position

The Watch Officer at Leidos plays a critical role in supporting the Office of the Director of National Intelligence (ODNI) response operations center (ROC). This position involves facilitating communication, knowledge management, and reporting support within a 24/7 operational environment. The Watch Officer will be responsible for developing procedures, conducting situational awareness reporting, and ensuring the readiness of the ROC to respond to ongoing and emerging events.

Requirements

• Typically requires a BA degree and 8 - 12 years of prior relevant experience or a Masters with 6 - 10 years of prior relevant experience.
• Experience in a Completion Based/Deliverables based contract.

Responsibilities

• Assist and facilitate the functions and capabilities of the ODNI response operations center (ROC).
• Provide continuous information sharing, knowledge management, communications, and reporting support with 24/7 two-person teams within the ROC.
• Ensure proficiency in the operation of all continuity communications platforms required by Office of Management and Budget/Office of Science and Technology Policy Directive D-16-1.
• Develop routine and incident response procedures, job aids, and checklists for the ODNI ROC.
• Draft daily and event-driven Situational Awareness Reports concerning IC and ODNI capability and capacity to provide intelligence.
• Conduct alert notifications for the orderly transition to crisis team operations, if required.
• Ensure ODNI ROC readiness for daily situational awareness of ongoing and emerging events.
• Support ongoing IC continuity response activities, including response operations center and alternate facility plans and procedures.
• Participate in after-action reviews and corrective actions to address shortfalls identified during events or exercises.
• Support emergency management/incident response functions as needed.
