About The Position

GovCIO is currently hiring for a Watch Officer to manage all situational awareness of the forward enterprise, including ancillary networks integrated into the enterprise. This position will be located in Fayetteville, NC, and will be an on-site position. The Systems Control Watch Officer is responsible for managing all situational awareness of the forward enterprise, including ancillary networks integrated into the enterprise. The Communications Operations Officer’s direct link to the current and forecasted condition of the Command’s communications. Provides analysis and research for industry, infrastructure, technology, country, geographic area, biographic, and targeted vulnerability. Prepares assessments of current events based on the sophisticated collection, research, and analysis of classified and open source information. Develops and maintains analytical procedures to meet changing requirements and ensure maximum operations. Collects data using a combination of standard intelligence methods and business processes. Monitors and analyzes all strategic and operational aspects of political, military, and economic developments for the countries in the Areas of Operational Responsibility (AOR) and Areas of Interest (AOI). Connects pieces of information that are available from different sources, like Commander’s meetings, situation briefings, daily updates, collaboration platforms, and forms reliable reports and or briefings to the Communications Operations Officer, to support the Commander and the other senior leadership. Assesses the information against the Communications Operations Officer’s list of priorities and compiles the data into reports Perform role as Operations Center Battle Captain; focal point of managing the actions conducted in support of managing the entire forward network enterprise

Requirements

  • High School with 9+ years (or commensurate experience)
  • Clearance Required: TS/SCI
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in: Military operations center, Tactical Operations Center (TOC), Joint Operations Center (JOC), Network Operations Center (NOC), Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Or equivalent 24/7 operational environment
  • Demonstrated experience in: Real-time incident response and escalation, Operational reporting and executive briefings, Multi-channel communications coordination, Shift-based operational environments
  • Technical Skills: Operating Cisco VTC, Proficiency in GIT Collaboration tools, OneNote, Rocket Chat, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
  • Experience with incident management systems and ticketing platforms
  • Familiarity with COP (Common Operational Picture) tools or dashboard-based monitoring systems
  • Ability to rapidly synthesize information from multiple sources
  • Current and active U.S. Passport
  • Current and active U.S. Driver's License
  • Must attain Avixa Certified Technology Specialists (CTS) within 180 days of employment
  • Must have the ability to wear personal protective equipment, including a protective mask, ballistic helmet, body armor, and chemical/biological protective garments
  • Medically/Physically fit for deployment with U.S. Military Forces Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS) under the provisions of USCENTCOM Medical Standards
