About the team and the role: With innovative and exciting operational initiatives, the Authentication Operations team is a fast-paced and passion-filled team to be a part of. This team has successfully launched watches, handbags, sneakers, trading cards, jewelry and apparel authentication in the US, CA, AU, UK, DE and JP in under four years. We are a group of unique and diverse teammates who together make a complete business unit and are seeking a Watch Authentication Operations Leader, to drive success in our Moonachie, NJ facility. You will be joining the Global Facility Operations team and reporting to the Watch Authentication Manager of our Moonachie facility. You will be responsible for the examining, processing, and authenticating of luxury timepieces that are bought/sold via online marketplace. You will contribute to positive employee relations within the team. You will collaborate regularly with internal and external partners to ensure alignment to eBay principles and business goals.

Requirements

• 2 - 5+ years of luxury watch operations experience preferred including brand, model, movement and material identification
• Strong analytical skills and a proven ability to work independently and influence others
• Work effectively and collaboratively in teams to meet deadlines and foster cross-functional partnerships
• The capability to handle ambiguity and be flexible to changing needs and priorities
• Keen interest in the luxury watch industry, including following the emerging trends

Responsibilities

• Evaluate preloved and new products from luxury watch brands to ensure their authenticity
• Perform an inspection to confirm the item's description and condition are consistent
• Identify counterfeit items with succinct and specific findings
• Stay well-versed on current brand trends & developments
• Be comfortable in a fast-paced facility environment
• Achieve quality metrics and productivity goals daily
• Proactively communicate with managers about daily activities and obstacles
• Ensure work area is in constant compliance with health & safety requirements
• Take proactive steps to ensure that best practices are followed and champion eBay DNA principles
• Identify trends in counterfeits - designers and styles
