About The Position

Operates all phases of the wastewater treatment plant on a daily basis. Responsible for making the correct operational adjustments in response to changing conditions and loadings. Immediately respond to alarms or out-of-range operating parameters. Maintain environmental compliance. Start up, operate and shutdown equipment. Evaluate data. This position only has supervisory responsibility when working out-of-position in the absence of supervisor. Shift work (12-hour shifts, no swing shifts, Union).

Requirements

• Knowledge of wastewater chemistry, microbiology, math, hydraulics, sampling, chemical handling, and process computer systems.
• Possess, or obtain within 6 months of hire date, the D-level MO Wastewater Operator Certification.
• Possess, or obtain within 2 years of employment, the C-level MO Wastewater Operator Certification.
• Possess and maintain operator certification as a condition of employment.
• Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and driving record satisfactory to the District and its insurance company.
