About The Position
We are seeking a Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator (Class C or higher) to assist with the daily operations of a wastewater treatment facility. This role involves monitoring plant equipment, collecting samples, performing basic maintenance and housekeeping, and supporting certified operators in maintaining safe and efficient plant operations. This is a temporary position (2–6 months) with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- State of Florida Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator Class C license (or higher)
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a wastewater treatment plant
- Ability to read and follow technical procedures and safety guidelines

Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor wastewater treatment plant equipment and pumps
- Start and stop machinery using SCADA systems
- Collect and analyze water samples and maintain basic records
- Add chemicals according to operational standards
- Perform equipment cleaning and general housekeeping
- Assist certified operators with plant operations and maintenance tasks
