Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Able to read and write in English
  • Previous experience with wastewater systems
  • Forklift Certification (Chromalloy)
  • Training required in handling chemical and hazardous materials.
  • Mechanical skills, ability to work with equipment such as pumps, filter presses, etc.
  • Basic understanding of wastewater processes and technologies.
  • Due to government regulation only US persons (U.S. citizen, U.S. naturalized citizen, U.S. permanent resident, holder of U.S. approved political asylee or refugee status) may be considered for this role.
  • Any offer of employment will also be conditioned upon the successful completion of a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with company policy and applicable federal and state regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Transfer hazardous and non-hazardous fluids to treatment tanks using pumps and hoses.
  • Add treatment chemicals to tanks.
  • Utilize plate frame filter press to remove solids.
  • Move solids from filter press to waste containers.
  • Discharge treated effluent from tanks upon final approval from Metallurgical Lab.
  • Clean waste treatment area.
  • Correctly label and store all waste (solid or liquid).
  • Sample and monitor waste streams generated from plant operations.
  • Adhere to all Company EHS policies while performing job duties.
  • Adhere to and promote Corporate Code of Ethical Standards
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Investigate opportunities for improvement of processing equipment as required.
  • Complete all assigned training and compliance items as required.
  • Performing other tasks in the facility as needed.
