The Wastewater Supervisor controls water flows and processes through plant and biological equipment/systems. Performs tests, maintenance, etc. to ensure proper operation of all wastewater related equipment.

Requirements

High School Diploma required.
Minimum of 2 years of previous work experience with wastewater systems.
Minimum of 1 year of supervisory experience, preferably in wastewater operations.

Self-starter; self-motivated.
Ability to work independently with little supervision.
Good with math, computer, and oral communication skills.
Must be willing to obtain wastewater certifications and update as necessary.

Responsibilities

Ensure proper operation of the entire wastewater system.
Ensure proper operation of plant skimmer.
Manages performance of individuals to ensure that procedures are being held to highest standards.
Monitor chemical inventory and usage throughout wastewater treatment processes.
Proper operation of DAF.
Maintain all valves and flow meters at pump stations daily.
Monitors all wastewater equipment.
Assists maintenance with projects or work in area of responsibility.
Complete all records and testing required by the EPA, State and Darling Ingredients.
Oversee all operations pertaining to wastewater quality.
Manage the wastewater system compliance.
Ensure compliance with all Public Potable Water system requirements
All other duties as assigned.
