About The Position

The Wastewater Plant - Maintenance Manager supervises all preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance of wastewater treatment facilities and water/wastewater pump stations. This role involves planning, scheduling, and directing maintenance of a wide variety of specialized mechanical and electrical equipment including buildings, structures, and grounds. The manager will also be responsible for estimating costs and time for maintenance, diagnosing malfunctions, performing asset condition assessments, and ensuring safety regulations are enforced.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 5 years minimum experience in large MBR plant maintenance.
  • 10 years of experience at a supervisory level.
  • Thorough knowledge of Hexagon CMMS and SCADA system.
  • Experience in the maintenance of MBR plants.
  • Knowledge of reliability centered maintenance (RCM) principles.
  • PCMP certification.
  • Knowledge of construction, repair, and operation of engines, pumps, and mechanical equipment.
  • Basic electrical knowledge for working on pumps and motors.
  • Knowledge of PLC troubleshooting and programming.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.

Nice To Haves

  • CRL or CRM certification current or renewable.
  • Knowledge in principles of supervision and training.
  • Knowledge of safety principles and practices.

Responsibilities

  • Plans, schedules, and directs maintenance of specialized mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Assigns, coordinates, and supervises personnel and materials for maintenance and repair.
  • Estimates cost and time for maintenance, repair, and construction work.
  • Diagnoses malfunctions and determines corrective actions.
  • Performs asset condition assessments and develops asset decay curves.
  • Inspects buildings and equipment for maintenance needs.
  • Prepares rough sketches of maintenance, repair, and construction jobs.
  • Ensures proper use and care of tools, materials, and safety equipment.
  • Reads and interprets blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
  • Performs skilled mechanical repair work on wastewater treatment plant equipment.
  • Consults with Project Manager on workload and assignments.
  • Develops and enforces safety regulations and procedures.
  • Keeps records of maintenance work and prepares reports.
  • Performs root cause analysis on equipment failures.
  • Determines remedial action in emergencies.
  • Provides training to less experienced employees.
  • Establishes cooperative relationships during work.
