About The Position

At Pilgrim’s, Safety Is A Condition , which means the safety of our team members comes first - always. We have implemented safety measures to prevent the spread of COVID-19. We are working to ensure social distancing within our facility. We have installed physical barriers throughout our facility such as plexi-glass or plastic barriers between team member work stations. Each day, temperature screens are performed for each employee and visitor before entering the facility. Face coverings are provided and required over the mouth and nose at all times when inside the facility, and enhanced cleaning and sanitation is regularly performed. Waste Water Operator will be responsible for ensuring proper operation of the wastewater plant New hires will have to demonstrate the ability and desire to obtain a state certification

Requirements

• Communicate in both oral and written
• Mathematical skill
• Understand safety rules and instruction
• Capable of lifting or carrying 20lbs
• Walking up and down stairs
• Working in confined areas
• Ability to wear a respirator
• Handling potentially hazardous water treatment and laboratory chemicals
• Minimum exposure to inclement weather
• Be able to get PIT and Yard Truck
• Must have a valid Driver License
• Must be certified in water or wastewater
• Must have a NC Bio Certification
• flexible on hours changes if need for plant operation
