As a Wastewater Operator, based in Red Bluff, CA, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks related to the operation and maintenance of a wastewater treatment plant. Requirements

  • Highschool Diploma or GED
  • Ability to obtain an Operator Certification within one year of hire.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to input data into a maintenance management system.
  • Valid driver's license.

Nice To Haves

  • Working toward or holding an intermediate to advanced level wastewater treatment certification.
  • Knowledge of wastewater treatment plant operations, valves, pumps, and motors.
  • Understanding of safe work practices.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining equipment
  • Conducting quality control testing.
  • Compiling reports and keeping records.
  • Ensuring compliance with operational policies and procedures.
  • Diagnosing operating problems and making adjustments to optimize wastewater treatment processes.
  • Monitoring and controlling rates of flow, sludge processing, and effluent treatment.
  • Collecting samples and maintaining shift logs.
  • Performing other duties as required.
  • Prioritizing safety, health, and well-being for yourself and your team.
