About The Position
Seattle Public Utilities (SPU) is seeking a responsible civil engineer to join the System Operations, Planning, and Analysis (SOPA) Wastewater Team that manages existing and future wastewater facilities. If you have experience with combined sewer overflow facilities, whether in design, construction, operations, or NPDES (National Pollution Discharge Elimination System) monitoring & reporting we encourage you to apply. This is a new position to support optimization of the Ship Canal Water Quality Facility, a Combined Sewer Overflow storage tunnel that will serve North Seattle to reduce discharges to the Lake Washington Ship Canal. This position will join an experienced team that monitors and optimizes existing combined sewer overflow facilities and wastewater pump stations throughout the City of Seattle.
