Location: Frankfort, IN This is a 3rd shift opportunity, however, training will occur on 1st shift for up to 8 weeks. Position Summary: Responsible for treating and disposing of waste water and maintaining and monitoring chemistry of the plating lines. Accountable for safety, maintaining compliance with EPA guidelines and standards. Must monitor all chemistries inside the plant, and perform preventative maintenance on equipment. Essential Functions: Must operate stand-up fork truck. Prepare and submit required documentation. Maintain housekeeping standards in the work area. Maintain and clean the filter presses. Test effluent water samples. Start-up, perform safety checks and shut down boiler systems. Collect and evaluate data and submit in required report format. Work in a team environment. Train and mentor teammates. Collect and submit required samples for lab testing and evaluate results. Communicate and work with outside vendors. Treat water chemically to remove heavy metals. Perform titration and chemical treatments of the plating boiler system. Perform preventative maintenance on all equipment. Monitor waste water treatment operation. Perform outside testing of metals. Clean and operate the oil water separator. Perform required plating line testing. Check and adjust chemical concentrations on each tank. Conduct phosphate panel and enter plating weight.Conduct zinc panel testing. Load and unload chemical containers when delivered. Operate the Waste Water computer system. Ensure safety standards are adhered to at all times. Perform concentration and pH checks on soft water system. Perform other duties as assigned.
