About The Position

The purpose of this position is to operate, monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot the wastewater treatment facility and its processes. The role involves performing all aspects of sampling, monitoring, and testing required to maintain compliance with Federal, State, and Local regulations governing the wastewater treatment process. Daily checks of the wastewater treatment are essential, along with assisting in regular and unscheduled maintenance and repairs on all plant equipment and machinery. The position also includes overseeing the accumulation and shipments of hazardous waste, water sampling, and handling of acids and bases. The individual must be available to respond to emergencies and breakdowns at the facility and maintain open communication with Plant Management regarding the treatment process, making recommendations for repairs and improvements to these systems.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• South Carolina Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator's Class B Physical / Chemical License required.
• Minimum of four (4) years on-the-job training.

Responsibilities
