About The Position

The Waste Management Specialist is responsible for managing all waste produced in the bakery and warehouse operations. This role involves collecting, consolidating, and disposing of various waste items, ensuring compliance with sanitation practices, and maintaining a clean work environment.

Requirements

• Must be detail-oriented and observant
• Strong communication skills and the ability to form rapport with employees
• Ability to work with minimal oversight
• Must be able to operate a forklift and various power tools
• Must be vigilant
• Prior experience with food processing desired
• High School Diploma or GED

Nice To Haves

• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred

Responsibilities

• Commit to proper GMPs and Sanitation Practices
• Receive training on proper practices
• Remove trash throughout the warehouse, production floor, and waste/recycle area
• Ability to load trucks with a forklift for Reuse and Recycle purposes
• Remove broken pallets from production and stage them in a recycle trailer
• Break down corrugated totes with a box cutter and skill saw
• Dispose of trash into the trash compactor
• Operate a cardboard compactor
• Record data related to the waste management program
• Maintain a clean work area
• Additional duties as assigned in support of waste management
