About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Waste Management Specialist Energy to join our Team in our Idaho Falls, ID office. The Waste Management Specialist will interface with waste generators to ensure compliance with program requirements and manage waste in an efficient and timely manner.

Requirements

  • Requires a High School diploma or equivalent.
  • College or technical education is desired.
  • Requires strong multitasking skills.
  • Requires strong time management skills.
  • Must have Computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have ability to prioritize workload.
  • Technical work experience or education preferred.
  • Strong Math and Science background preferred.
  • Knowledge of Environmental Regulations (RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA) preferred.
  • Must be a U.S. citizen in order to be considered.

Responsibilities

  • Interfaces with waste generator to ensure that program requirements are met and activities are completed in accordance with applicable procedures/requirements.
  • Ensures that waste is packaged, accepted, stored, characterized, and dispositioned in an efficient, timely, and compliant manner.
  • Works with Environmental Regulations (RCRA, CERCLA, TSCA), Waste Characterization, Waste Packaging, and Regulatory Inspections.
  • Conducts Database entry and Management of Waste Containers.
  • Interacts with customers/clients.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
