The Sub-Business Class Lead (SBCL) will work with their corresponding Business Class Lead (BCL) and HDR peers on technical and staff development (including the development of Subject Matter Experts [SMEs]), coordination, monitoring and improvement of technical competencies of Business Class staff and technical execution. The SBCL can have or be assigned a technical focus (topical focus) and/or an area (geographic) focus. SBCLs with a topical focus often facilitate technical quality control and/or assurance, project execution, delivery, consultation, and mentoring in relation to a technical specialty falling under one or more technical services areas hosted by a Business Class throughout HDR. SBCLs with an area or geographic focus may collaborate on business class efforts with market sector directors, regional business group directors, area business group managers, business development leaders, local market sector (marketing) leaders. SBCLs are called upon to lead or mentor Practice Groups and/or activities to continually improve standards and recommended practices. SBCLs could serve as lead quality assurance (e.g., PARR) and independent technical reviewers for complex projects. In the role of Waste Engineering Sub Business Class Leader, we'll count on you to: Support corresponding BCL to provide company-wide leadership of technical capabilities within the business class. Support development and application of technical tools, standards, recommended practices and techniques to enhance service quality and efficiency. Verify technical staff are aware of and monitoring emerging technologies. Support corresponding BCL with assignment of qualified, experienced staff to projects including the support of work sharing. Support corresponding BCL with providing strategic and tactical business trends as well as developing and implementing strategic plans for the business class. Support corresponding BCL with monitoring business class direction, adherence to policies and practices, quality, technical tools, recommended practices, project staffing and resource to workload allocation. Support corresponding BCL with building and/or enhancing technical expertise and production capacity through recruitment, implementation, training, and knowledge transfer. Coordinate strategic Business Class hires with Business Group Leadership at the national, regional, area and local levels. Support corresponding BCL with facilitating Business Class technical experts in support of client development and project pursuits. Support corresponding BCL with verifying Business Class technical experts represent HDR by active involvement in industry organizations and functions including presentations and publications. Support corresponding BCL with facilitating knowledge transfer (i.e. lessons learned) for project delivery, processes, trends, successes, strengths and weaknesses. Support corresponding BCL with monitoring company-wide performance within business class to achieve defined goals and support Business Group Leadership at the national, regional, area and local levels in monitoring project performance and implementation of corrective actions.
