About The Position

The Waste Coordinator at EnviroServe is responsible for managing project waste for clients at regional offices without taking title for the material. This role involves time-sensitive activities requiring strong organizational, planning, time-management, and multi-tasking skills. The Waste Coordinator prepares waste profiles, obtains disposal pricing, assists with manifests, and educates clients on waste movement, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory procedures.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a Science Related Field (Environmental Science/Chemistry/Biology) or 4+ years of relevant experience.
  • At least two years of experience in the hazardous waste industry, particularly in preparing waste profiles and manifests.
  • Basic understanding of chemistry.
  • Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation required.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment physical, drug screen, and alcohol testing.
  • Ability to pass pre-employment background screening.
  • Ability to pass OSHA HAZWOPER 40-hour training.

  • Experience with hazardous waste management regulations.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and submit waste profiles ensuring completeness and accuracy.
  • Obtain competitive disposal pricing from various disposal facilities.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of manifests.
  • Review analytical data to determine waste classification.
  • Educate clients to facilitate timely waste movement to disposal facilities.
  • Resolve manifest and non-conforming load discrepancies.
  • Prepare and ship samples and review chains of custody for accuracy.
  • Conduct facility inspections.
  • Manage and inspect the 10-day transfer area for each office weekly.
  • Maintain a 10-day transfer area log to ensure hazardous waste leaves the facility within 10 days of receipt.
  • Build relationships with local hazardous and non-hazardous waste disposal facilities.
  • Provide technical assistance to other offices.
  • Respond to, manage, and supervise assigned projects.
