About The Position

The Wash Technician will ensure that all equipment coming in and out of the service department is washed and prepared for the customer, based on Capital Tractor expectations. Other general duties, in and around the store, to support the success of the service department, will be assigned accordingly.

Responsibilities

• Washing all incoming and outgoing equipment upon service writer, salesman or technician request.
• The wash bay is to be cleaned at the end of each day (hoses rolled up, cleaning supplies organized, plates organized with unit they came off).
• Some units will require skid plates removed to adequately clean. It is the wash tech’s responsibility to remove and reinstall skid plates.
• Keeping the dome clean.
• Keeping the yard presentable, including picking up trash and cutting and weed eating the grass surrounding CT.
• Performing shop upkeep such as dumping oil buckets, pulling trash on trash days from the technician’s bays and service department front office, keeping technicians stocked with oil dry, sweeping areas of the shop, etc.
• Greasing and checking the R630 weekly.
• Making supply runs in town if needed (picking up hydraulic fittings, delivering/picking up tires from BestOne, delivering cylinders to Central AL Fluid Power, etc.)
• Being available to help a technician if an extra hand is needed.
