About The Position

The High Rise Order Picker is responsible for picking customer orders using scan guns to ensure accuracy and transporting these orders to the appropriate packing areas. This position requires the operation of industrial lifts to pick products from heights of up to 25 feet. The role involves checking and verifying orders for accuracy and may require the employee to be assigned to various other areas or departments as needed to meet company goals.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Basic computer experience preferred.
• Must be able to communicate effectively.
• Experience operating industrial lifts is preferred.
• Ability to be certified to operate required equipment.
• Possesses the ability to read and interpret documents such as orders and instructions.
• Ability to write and understand reports and correspondence.
• Good knowledge of basic math; ability to accurately calculate figures and amounts such as quantities and combined box counts.
• Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Capable of dealing with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to adapt and change as business needs change daily.
• Ability to work overtime as needed.
• Comfortable standing for long periods of time; majority of the shift.

Responsibilities

• Fills and transports customer orders using industrial lifts.
• Ensures each order is accurately picked in a timely manner.
• Operates an industrial lift working up to 25 feet in the air to pick product for orders.
• Checks and verifies orders for accuracy.
• Performs all other duties as requested.
• May be assigned to various other areas or departments when needed to meet company goals.
